Lisa Gold

Associate Professor Lisa Gold is an economist whose work focuses on the economic evaluation of population health and social interventions that aim to improve population health and reduce health inequalities. She has worked in the broad area of maternity care, child and family health for the last 20 years.

Lisa leads a team of health economists at Deakin University , where she is also Course Director for Deakin's postgraduate health economics programs. Her team are working with academics and community partners across Australia to build the evidence base for cost-effective and equitable intervention strategies for all affected by trauma and violence.

The Stronger Futures CRE offers exciting opportunities for collaboration to result in real change in policy and practice. Lisa hopes that, by providing an economic lens to how we see issues and what we look to change, she can help achieve this.
