Karen Glover
Karen Glover is a Mein:tnk and Wotjobaluk woman from south eastern South Australia and north western Victoria. Karen has worked for over 30 years in the government and nongovernment Aboriginal health and community services sectors, including in policy, planning, service development, management and advocacy. Karen has been working full time in research since November 2015. Karen is used to working collaboratively to make a difference in Aboriginal health and social outcomes and will continue this in the CRE.
She hopes the CRE research makes a difference to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes, tackling entrenched issues. Karen also hopes to see more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people gaining qualifications in research, and more clinical researchers.
Karen brings her sense of humour, commitment, and networks to the CRE.
She lives and works on Kaurna Country. Karen’s family and friends, being on country and doing art and crafts keep her strong.
