
Jordan Gibbs
Mr Jordan Gibbs is a proud Peerapper and Anglo-Celtic man. He is currently undertaking his Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Psychology) at Swinburne University of Technology. Jordan has worked in First Nations health research for the last three years at the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science, the MCRI, and Melbourne University.
Jordan is a named scholar in the Centre of Research Excellence at the MCRI, and a research assistant with Dr Graham Gee in the Aboriginal Health Team. His role in the CRE is within the priority area of Healing and Recovery.
Jordan hopes that the CRE can bring together researchers, practitioners and industry partners in a collaborative manner for the betterment of all. He believes that it is listening to each other, and safely capturing the views of diverse peoples that builds strong research and safe, effective practice.
Jordan brings his passion for culturally safe and effective research and practice.
Jordan was born and raised off his ancestral country, living mostly on Awabakal Country and Larrakia Country. Jordan currently lives and works in Naarm (Melbourne) on Wurundjeri country.
Jordan is kept strong and resilient by his culture, music, family and the beautiful bush and beaches around where he resides.
