Grace McMahon
Grace is a clinical psychologist and early career researcher with the Intergenerational Health Group at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. She is a Stronger Futures CRE Scholar and coordinates the evaluation of the Family Foundations program within the Resilience and Prevention Stream. Grace's research interests include child development and child and family mental health and functioning, with particular interests in investigating these factors and supporting children and families who have experienced adversity.
Grace is excited about the opportunity to collaborate with researchers and clinicians from many different disciplines and organisations. She hopes that the knowledge generated from the CRE will contribute to a deeper understanding of intergenerational trauma and inform culturally sensitive approaches to care.
Grace brings clinical experience from her work as psychologist at The Royal Children’s Hospital and a strong passion for supporting young people and their families who are experiencing mental health difficulties and adversity.
Grace lives and works on Wurrundjeri Country. Spending time with family and friends and walks/runs by the beach are some of the things that keep Grace strong and resilient.
