Fiona Gordon

Fiona is a passionate Nurse Midwife with a combined 21 years experience in both the public and private health sectors. She works at Western Health - Bacchus Marsh and is currently one of the Program Champions in the Strong Families Strong Babies Study.

Fiona would love for the CRE to be able to improve social and emotional well-being for childbearing women and their families through facilitating evidence based practice changes, leading to better women centered care and improved health outcomes for vulnerable communities.

Working in the clinical space of midwifery allows Fiona to have an on the ground "frontline" experience. This knowledge benefits the CRE in helping to provide practical insights into how changes can be drafted and implemented to support women in the antenatal and postnatal periods.

Fiona lives and works on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country. Spending time with family, gardening and singing with her local community choir keeps Fiona strong and resilient.
