Arwen Nikolof

Arwen is Narungga/Kaurna and Australian/English descent. She works on the Aboriginal Families Study at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute and has an extensive background working in Aboriginal health and research within community services and government.

Arwen recently submitted her thesis for her PhD with the University of Melbourne. The topic of research was ‘Understanding factors associated with housing mobility and a new approach to assessing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children’s social and emotional wellbeing’.

Her aspirations for the Stronger Futures CRE is to work together to build strong evidence that makes a difference in children and families lives.

Arwen works and lives on Kaurna land in Adelaide with her family. She keeps strong by being surrounded by family and friends.
